Kassab went back to apartment at night with Pruett and Kearns he left two lights on one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom according to Mac those were the only lights on during the attack. Kassab took the same position on the couch with the two men there he could scarcely tell who they were. In that light Mac who needed glasses to read or drive a car and coming out of a sound sleep saw the stripes on a uniform, rubber gloves on one of the attackers, the flash of a knee, the color of boots and also saw water dripping off them, the mustache on an upper lip, the length and color of hair and the glint of a blade. Kassab also stood by the doors of both of the girls bedrooms with the bathroom light on as it was that night and could see almost nothing the room received no illumination at all from the bathroom light. Yet Mac saw the girls covered in blood and saw blood bubbling out when he tried mouth to mouth resusitation. I'm not sure on this but didn't he claim also to see a crucifix on a chain worn by an attacker and also furnish descriptions for composit drawings of the attackers also? if it were me I would think I would have turned some lights on to see what the situation was instead of fumbling around in the dark and would a doctor examine a patient in almost total darkness? I agree with Kasaab and I just don't buy it.
